Description of Research and Scholarly or Creative Objectives:
Addressing water quality and water conservation issues related to agriculture and residential development, with particular emphasis on local issues in Salem and Cumberland counties in New Jersey.

Commercial or Industrial Relevance:
Meeting water quality and water conservation objectives is imperative for the continued sustainability of New Jersey's agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture industries. Development of good management practices addressing nutrient management, irrigation management, and runoff control are necessary tools for farms and other producers to achieve their water resources goals while maintaining or improving profitability. In agriculture-dominated watersheds, providing growers with the requisite education and tools will be critical in achieving state and federal water quality benchmarks for surface water bodies.

2009-ongoing: County Environmental and Resource Management Agent III. Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Salem County.
2006-2009: Post-doctoral scholar. University of California, Riverside, Departments of Environmental Sciences and Botany and Plant Sciences.
Area of research: Nutrient and pesticide runoff from nursery, citrus, and avocado sites.
